Mentor Agreement

1. Mentor Status

Mentors on Trussnet are independent contractors, not employees. You are free to set your own schedule, rates, and areas of focus. Trussnet does not direct the content or methodology of your mentoring sessions.

2. Quality Standards

You agree to conduct sessions professionally and in good faith, to show up on time for booked sessions, to maintain honest and accurate profile information, and to treat all mentees with respect. Trussnet reserves the right to suspend or remove mentors who receive sustained poor reviews or violate these standards.

3. Platform Fee

Mentees pay your session price plus a $2 booking fee. The $2 stays with Trussnet on every paid booking, including founding-mentor bookings, and is never paid to you.

Most mentors receive 85% of the session price. Trussnet keeps 15%. The first 100 approved mentors are founding mentors. They receive the full session price on their first 10 paid bookings that are not later refunded, then 92%. After those 10, Trussnet keeps 8%. A booking that is refunded, or cancelled before it is paid, does not count toward those 10.

Payouts follow Stripe's standard payout schedule for your connected account and country. Trussnet does not set a separate weekly payout schedule.

Paid bookings require you to finish Stripe Connect onboarding under Mentor dashboard → Settings → Payouts (Stripe Connect). You are not listed in Browse Mentors, and mentees cannot pay you, until that payout setup is complete.

4. Off-Platform Transactions

Soliciting or accepting payments from mentees outside of the Trussnet platform is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate account termination. This applies to all mentees you meet through the Platform, for a period of 12 months after your last session with them.

5. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of any original content, frameworks, or materials you share during sessions. By using the Platform, you grant Trussnet a limited license to use your profile information (name, photo, bio, expertise) for marketing and promotional purposes.

6. Confidentiality

You agree to treat all information shared by mentees during sessions as confidential and not to disclose it to third parties without the mentee's consent, except where required by law.

7. Not Medical Care

Mentoring on Trussnet is educational and career guidance only. Sessions are not medical care, clinical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and do not create a physician–patient relationship.

8. Cancellations

If you need to cancel a session, you must do so at least 24 hours in advance. Repeated cancellations may result in reduced visibility in search results or suspension of your account. If you cancel a paid session, the mentee receives a full refund of the session price and the $2 booking fee.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the mentoring relationship at any time. Trussnet reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any mentor for violations of this Agreement, the Terms of Service, or conduct detrimental to the Trussnet community.
